Forty Mile Gas Co-op Ltd. is a member owned Natural Gas Utility Company. In 1973 a group of founding directors had a desire and more importantly a solid vision to bring a long term safe supply of natural gas service to the rural community at a reasonable cost. In forming a “Co-op” the cost is shared by all of its members and also benefits all of its members .
Forty Mile Gas Co-op Ltd. currently has approximately 2000 members in its 20,423km² franchise area, and has been providing Natural Gas Service for over 45 years. Forty Mile Gas is the largest geographically sized gas Co-op in Alberta.
